Got a free desktop Studio Voucher from HuaXia as their Anniversary Gift for their members. Decided to go on the 28/08/09. Juz before I go back to work.. Shawn and I decided that we want the photos to be plain. So minimum make up and hairdo. Shawn and Nigel were wearing matching t-shirts that I have gotten as a birthday gift for Shawn.

Nigel is as usual a grumpy old man. Unfamiliar people and surroundings. So most pictures were of him frowning. But he's really cute even when he was frowning ! Luckily my Mum and Pam came along to entertain or It will be a disaster.

Letter to Nigel (4.5 mths)

Dearest LiL Nigel Boy Boy,

Time really flies. You are already 4 and a half months old. It's seems like yesterday when you 'll still kicking around in my Tummy. Really miss those days in a way because you are always with me. But those days are filled with worries for your safety. Seeing you now safe and sound makes me really glad that I have make the decision to take a break from work.

Being able to spend the first 80 days of your life together, It's truly a wonderful, heartwarming experience. It's something, nothing can replace. Looking at you grow day by day, it's something really precious. But now I'm back at work, I really miss you a lot. There are days where You only spend an hour with me before I'm at work. Even days where you don't see me at all. Make me feel really heartbroken and sad. Don't be angry with Mummy for not being there so often. Mummy has to work. Mummy and Daddy are trying our best to work out something so Mummy can spend more time with you. Mummy is leaving you in the best care possible. Your Ah Gong, Ah Ma, Auntie Pam and Auntie Nicole love you as much as I do. So I had no worries leaving you in their care. I know you definitely love them a lot too. You are always so excited when I bring you over to Ah Ma's place. You always want Ah Gong to carry you.

Looking at you makes me wonder why I can love you so much right from the moment you are born. Maybe it's mother's instinct. I wonder everyday, what kind of person you will be, will you be a swimmer (since you love swimming so much), business man, engineer? But no matter what, my wish for you is to be Happy and Healthy. Happiness and Health is the most important. I don't need you to be top in class, as long as you work hard, it's enough for me. I don't need you to earn a millions bucks, as long as you are fillal and happy, it's enough for me. But right now, most important thing is for you to grow strong and healthy.

"Baby Can Swim" Contest & Cousin Caedy and Caelan's Birthday ..

Everyone was at Nigel's first "Baby Can Swim" Contest held at Plaza Singapore at 12.30. It's the preliminary rounds. Nigel is in the older babies category which I felt was unfair since he had to swim with the 7 and 8 mths old babies. Nigel juz turn 4 and a half mths. The judge kept wanting Nigel to splash the water with his hands. It's something that Nigel doesn't do. He juz like to grab stuff in the water and kick with his legs. The judge was ignoring Nigel most of the time which I was pretty pissed about. But no matter, Nigel did enjoying himself. It's all the matters.

We had a lovely lunch later without Shawn cos he has to rush to work as usual. The lunch is to celebrate Pam's birthday which was on 16/09. The whole family gotten a Avent Baby monitor for her as a present.

Later on we went down to my Youngest Uncle's apartment to celebrate Cady and Calan (did I get the names right ?? ) Nigel had a great time swimming in the big pool. My Godbrother, Vincent was there to tend to him. The water was pretty cold so took him out after 15 mins. He was pretty unhappy about it !

All in all, a happy and fruitful day. But most of the time, Nigel was being carried by someone else. So didn't spend much time with him. So decided to take him home to look after him tonight despite working 12 hr (mostly likely more) shift tomolo. Really hate my JOB !

In the picture is also Great Grand 4th Uncle and Auntie (aka Aunt Debbie's parents). Ying Kang has the nickname "Income". And Nigel's nickname is "Zhen Huat !" So funny lor.. all have to do with Money !!

Sadz, Sick and Sianz.... IPHONE madness

18 Sep 09, Friday.. Hazy, Rainy

As the title says, I'm Sadz, Sick and Sianz.. Sadz Cos I had actually gone 24 hrs without seeing my Lil Nigel Boy. I last saw him at 10am on the 17th of Sep, work till late as usual. He was asleep by the time I was off work, so my Mum ask me to go back to rest since I had to go on course this morning at 9am. I had to work extra one hour today due to lack of staff so can onli go off around 545 pm. Went home to bathe and saw him at about 630pm. SobS.. Plus I'm Sick.. Flu and a major headache ! So bad tat my teeth are aching too. Tomoloz had to work from 1030am to God Knows what time !! Most likely 12mn or later.. Damn IPHONE !! I hate IPHONE !! All the irritating IPHONE customers !! Why are Singaporeans so damn crazy ? It's only a handphone !! Can't they juz wait. NO need to come, bang table and demand and demand. Singaporeans are the worst sort of customers !! Do they even use a third of the functions? They juz wan to follow trend lor. And they dun mind q-ing for one hour or more !! Really madness. I have better things to do lor. I have never ever do things like tat even before I join this industry. It's onli after I join retail that I realise how ugly Singaporeans can be. And how wrong is our society becoming. Govt pamper us too much.
SighZ. I really need a new job. This job is getting on my nerves. I'm totally sick and tired of putting up a face in front of those irritating people when wat i really feel like doing is giving them a tight slap. I have better things to do than entertaining them lor. They are keeping me apart from my son lor. Shawn try to comfort me, ask me to think about the money IPHONE is bringing in.. But I totally have no mood to sell anything lor. Have money but no Life lor. Plus I believe most of the customer actually treat us retail line people like Dirt. I do have many nice customer that brighten up my day and customers who like to look for me. But it's really hard for me to look on the bright side when Nigel is not around or I'm too tired to look after him. I'm always feel really drain and tired when I reach home. I have been the one taking care of Nigel mostly. Shawn do try to help but he's still not good with Nigel and he prefer to sleep. I have been making do with 3 hours of broken sleep or less. I think my engine is breaking down thus I'm so sick now... Wonder if I should take MC tomoloz. But I dun wan to.. I juz started work on the 29th of August (and complain so much already)..
I'm so stress up and tired that my milk supply has drop drastically. Like today, I pump only 120ml at 7am, till now at 945pm, I have not express my milk at all. Thank heavens for Friends like Ting who donate her milk to Nigel. I hope I can breastfeed Nigel till he's 1 year old. But it seems unlikely now. This make me hate my Job even more. Really Sadz, Sick and Sianz..

Yummy !!

Nigel is on solids for a week or so... So far so good. Still experimenting with the different types and brands still. My Mum been feeding him with samples from Dr Teoh. For me, I'm have been feeding Nigel with fruits.

On Ting's recommendation, I have been getting Earth's Best for Nigel. Onli has 3 favours for 4 months old Babies, Sweet Potato, Pears and Apples. Nigel loves Apples.

I have also gotten Nuby's New silicon bottle. Beside using it for feeding milk, it comes with many different adaptors. One of it is a silicon "spoon". As the bottle is soft, I can squeeze out the food onto the spoon. As the spoon is soft, it's easy for Nigel to use too. He love it. He gets excited when he see the bottle as he knows it's FEEDING TIME !!

15 Sep 09, Tues. Hazy

Finally, I'm on OFF and Shawn is too ! But Shawn as usual need to go for some irritating, time wasting meeting till 2.30pm. So I brought Nigel along with Iswati for another swimming and massage session. Nigel Swam for 1 hour !!

We went to East Coast Big Splash. Nigel was really cranky. He kept crying till We got to the seaside. He love looking at the waves and got really excited. But on the way home, he kept crying in the car !! He really hates car rides. I wonder why .. Sighsz...

Nigel Is 4 Mths Old on 08/09/09.. He had a long swimming session. Almost an hour !! His Nai Nai and Ye Ye came over to see him..

Time really Fly. He can flip from his tummy back to his back. He's in no hurry to learn to flip from his back to his tummy as he hates laying on his tummy. I wonder will he ever learn to crawl then .. Hmmzz .. He has grow and learn a lot since. It's been a great to be around him while he learn and grow. But now I'm back at work, Life is sadz. Time with him now is so precious. I wonder how much of his "First" I will miss.. Woes of a working mother in the Retail line. I Need a change of Job.. Any reccomendations ??

Taken on 11.09.09. A nice relaxing Family Day at East Coast White Town Old Coffee. Since most baby chairs provided outside are for older babies, I decided to bring his Bumbo along. A lot easier to manage him. He's happily sitting down while Shawn and I can enjoy ourselves too. Dun have to take turns to carry him.

4th Month Doctor Visit.. First Visit to Ye Ye's House

05/09/09, Sat, Humid

Shawn and I happen to on Off together so we decided to bring forward Nigel's 4th month Doctor visit to today instead of on the 11th. Brought Nigel to swimming early and of cos had a massage too. Came back home to let him take a nap but instead he was wide awake. Since my car is "off peak", we could only leave the house after 3pm. Thought it's not really legal to drive him in a 2 seater, we decide to just do it instead of taking cab. It's really hard to get a cab during weekends.

As usual, Shawn's mum was there at the clinic too. Nigel is 6.06kg and 66cm !! Wow ! He's really tall. He had his Oral Vaccination for Rotavirus. Poor Boy had to go thru 2 jabs, his 5 in 1 and Pneumococcal. He wasn't in pain.. he was looking at the Dr Teoh even thought we were trying to distract him. He was ok with the first jab then suddenly decided to scream. After a while, he was ok. Dr Teoh mention that once I stop breast feeding, he will recommend that I get some jabs too !! Alamak, I hate injections. I will have to bring my blood test reports which I did during my pregnancy. He said I might need to get the measles vaccination again as the previous one which I did when I was in Primary school will last only 20 yrs... So I'm overdue for one. Also he recommend I get one for cervical cancer. SobS.. Me hate needles. Anyway, He gave the green light to start feeding Nigel cereals and gave us a lot of samples. We are to replace one meal with cereals and to feed him papaya too.

We drop by Shawn's parents' place. To my surprise, Nigel didn't cry even though he was in a strange place. He was happily playing with his Ye Ye !! The last time Nigel saw him was more than a month ago ! And Nigel Hates strange places plus strangers. My mum says they have affinity. I even manage to capture a great photo. I really should bring Nigel over more often. But everytime I will to do it, something happens.

Sighz, Back to work again tomolo.. Miss Nigel.. Sighs.. Hate it !!

Separation Anxiety

Juz feeling sianz. Juz receive sms that Tomoloz have to report to work at 945am. Sighz. Rob me of 1 hour with Nigel. Damn irritated.

Spend one day with Nigel today. Went for his swimming, then drop by compass point cos need to send out on Beanie Pillow. He need me to hug him then he will sleep.. Dun wan Sarong anymore. Maybe scared I will run away. He hates people saying Bye Bye to him now.. Poor Nigel.. and Poor Mummy.

28/08/09.. The last day of my Maternity Leave. Wanted to spend it meaningfully by going for a nice family studio shot. Hua Xia gave their members one FOC studio photo shot. Little Nigel and Shawn Daddy was wearing matching outfits, courtesy of Moi. Shawn daddy's shirt "Old Block", Nigel's shirt "Chip of the old Block" ... It was a birthday gift to Shawn (Suggested by my 2nd sis). Nigel's Cap is a gift from Auntie Gladys (She's selling them)...

Luckily my Mum and Pam came along. They manage to coax Nigel into posing for the camera. Got a few pretty nice shots But I think some of the photos I took is nicer lei. And Of Cos, We bought 10 other photos.. Price..Hmmzz... Hehehe .... Will be getting them 1 to 2 weeks later..

Work Wise.. Wat can I really say. Not been Working since Mid-Jan. Worst still, started my first day on a busy sat. I was so blur. So many new products, systems and SOPs to follow. I was thrown to the Sales Floor only after less than one hour of reading and studying. Luckily I still remember a few stuff, the rest, use my common sense. Had to "smoke" customers thru some stuff.. Had to distract customers with other topics while searching for Info on the Singtel Webby. I had a big headache whole day !! Had to rush to level 4 nursery room from B1 to express my milk.. Had onli 20 mins to eat after that. Luckily Shawn took leave so he came and collected the milk for 2 days. I think it's due to stress and tiredness, I had a big Drop in my milk supply.. Morning pump onli abt 150ml to 180ml, lunch break about 60ml to 80ml, night pump abt 150ml to 180ml also. Tired cos had to wake up at 7am to pump, reach my mum's at 9am to accompany Nigel and leave at 10am for work. Worst still.. reached home onli abt 1230am on Sat. Brought Nigel home, he was really cranky. Didn't get to sleep much then back to work at 1pm till 1030pm on Sun..Sighs.. Really wonder how I can keep this up ! After work, I still have to pack the Beanie Pillows for delivery. I did that on Sun and today. Plus looking after Nigel. Shawn Daddy tried to help but he's not really good with Nigel and can't pack goods. Plus he is forever meeting friends, irritating company events.. Like today, his boss birthday. It's 1.46am and he is still not back. I had to pack the goods, do up the invoices, look after Nigel whom doesn't wan to sleep today. Juz manage to coax his to sleep onli. He is super cranky after I started work.. Is it cos he misses me ???
