Nigel's Mummy is Sick... SobS..Teething !! Ouch !!

I was down with flu, cough and sore throat last week. Nigel had to bunk in at my mum's. So miss him.. Juz brought him back home on Sat. Even though the doctor assure me the medicine is safe, I still threw away the milk that I express out 4 hrs after medications. Better safe than sorry. But so heartpain to throw way the BM.....

Nigel is teething too. Not his front teeth but the sides. He's only 2 and a half months old !! No teething toys suitable for him ! Sighz... Poor Nigel and Poor Mummy. Cos Nigel is so cranky, he can't sleep at night. SobSsSss... Now Nigel is having a little bit of cough.. OopPpssSs...

Nigel's First Injury !!

On that fateful Day, 18.07.09. Poor Nigel has his very first Injury... SobSssSss.. He got a small chunk of flesh cut out by nail clippers on his tiny little finger (the one next to the thumb) on his Right hand. Courtesy of Auntie Pam !! He was bleeding non-stop despite me pressing on his fingers with a hanky to stop the bleeding. His Uncle Terence tried also, he press so hard that he was crying.

The Brave Little Boy was actually more calm than all of us. He didn't cry when he got injured, juz screamed aloud ! No tears.. He was calmly looking at me pressing his little finger. I think he was quite amused at our reactions. His Uncle Nicholas google online to find solutions.. Auntie Nicole went down to the Mall to see if she can get anything to apply. Moi and his Auntie Pam was panicking. Actually more like Auntie Pam was panicking. I was more calm. She wanted to bring him to the Doctor maybe even ER !! Luckily the bleeding stopped after 10mins. Anyway, frm the Googling, we now know that there are many capillaries at the tip of the fingers so there will be lots of bleeding, the thing to do is to press on the injury to stop the bleeding. But if more than 10 mins, see a doctor !!!

P.S The very next day, I cut the nails of his little thumb (the one next to the little injured finger) too deep and he bleed !! OooOopPpsSss

Lil Nigel Boy Boy is one Photogenic Baby. He loves taking pictures and will look at the camera ! It's really fun taking pictures of him as he has many different expressions and mood. And he's not afraid to show us his Moods !!

Lil Nigel's 2nd PD visit.

Lil Nigel went for his 2nd PD visit on 06.07.09. He didn't grow much, only 4.5kg. SobS.. He also had his Oral Vaccination for Rotavirus. Poor Boy had to go thru 2 jabs, his first 5 in 1 and Pneumococcal. Dr Teoh however is really skillful. He used one needle for both jab so the poor boy doesn't have to go thru it 2 times and he did it in last than 30seconds !! It was a really open eyer !! Nigel is one brave Boy. He didn't cry But he did scream ! His whole face turn purple but after the needle was out, he was totally ok. Nigel's tear ducts have open up already. And his legs are fine !! YaPpPEe !!

Nigel Quarreling With His Grand Ma!

Lil Nigel is One Fierce Baby. He Loves to Quarrel with me and my Mum. He Roars and Bites ! Can't Imagine how hard a time he will give us when he grows up! In the Meantime, He's so cute when he does that. It's really easy to make him angry, juz scold him !! Hahaha !

Breastfeeding Woes

Breastfeeding is really a pain.. The Funnels for my Electric Ameda had cracked. Both Funnels !! I had to use manual pump since Friday. Luckily I had gotten a new manual Pump from Lansinoh at $45. It was on 50% discount at mothercare. It's really tiring to pump. So ended up I didn't clear the milk most of the time. Now ended up with Lumps Galore !! My Funnels juz arrived yesterday. I was too tired and too sore to pump too long. So now, it's really painful and swollen !! SobS.. Breastfeeding is really tiring.. Wonder how long I can keep it up. Plus I'm starting work in 29 Aug.. Wonder how ?? SighS..

Been Pumping every 3 to 4 hrs and more than 45 mins each time. Tried massaging, using Cold Cabbage, hot packs, hot showers.. still lumpy. But a lot better. There is even a patch of blue black on my top right. My Nipples is so sore and red. SobS.. It's pretty disheartening. Really make me wan to give up breastfeeding at times.

It's 4th Grand Uncle's 50th Grand Birthday Party at Spring Court. His actual Birthday is on the 9th of July but we celebrated it on 11th July instead. Nigel's mummy and Auntie Pam got for him a nice jacket from Fox. It was a really great Dinner. Nigel was looking really hip hop in his new Elmo Romper and matching Pacificer Clip.

Lil Nigel Boy Boy is 2 months old today. He's developing really well. He's trying to flip now, he can actually move from side to side !! He has really strong neck and can hold up his head by himself for a short while. He's drinking up to 120ml every 3 hours now.

On the minus side, he's uber cranky. When he wants something, he wants it now !! He can't wait !! He 'll get bored of something in about 15 mins. Gotten a new stroller for him, Peg Pergo Aria Oh. Cost a lot but partly sponsored by my brother and Mother in Law. It's comfy and the ride is smooth. But he love bumpy roads !! And he can't keep still, the stroller must be moving !! He really thinks he the King of the LanD ! But no matter, We all Love Him !!

04/07/09 is Lil Nigel's Daddy's 28th Birthday !! Lil Nigel is celebrating Daddy's birthday for the very first time !! Lil Nigel's Mummy gotten a nice cookies and cream chesse cake from Baker Inn for Daddy. Daddy loves Chesse cake but Mummy doesn't like !!

He Loves to talk now. He has lotsa things to say. He love to "complain" to my Mum and Dad. He will reserve his sweetest smile for them !! While for the rest of us, it will really depends on his mood.. And "Thanks" to Nicole, Nigel been sticking out his tongue at people !!

He's really strong and develop really fast. He can sit with support. He love Good music. Last week, there was this Tawian Variety show, similar to "don't forget the lyrics" but the Chinese version and by chinese singers. Last week epsiode has a special guest appearance by Boyzone. He will smile everytime they sing and make lots of complains when it's commerical time or some other awful singers are singing..
