I'm 20 weeks today! Finally, the halfway mark. I went for check up today for my Sun scare. Everything is fine now. A/P Mary says I better contiune with my injections. So I have to go down to Raffles on Fri for one injection and another one on the 31st along with my detail scan. I will be taking the package on the 31st, $870 !! Wow ! I'm also wondering should I go for 1 bed or 4 bed? According to MOH website for:
Normal delivery
Ward A is $5080, Ward B $3433, Ward B2 $1628.
C-section ( don't have 2 bedder)
Ward A is $7218, Ward B2 $2021
So far, it's safer for me to undergo C-Section due to my low lying placenta. But it's slowly moving upwards, so I might have hope for a natural delivery. But can I tahan staying for 2 days in the same room with 3 other people ?? I'm a pretty private person. But the cost is so much difference ! Sighz.. How how?? Any Sponsors? He he..

Contractions!!
21st Dec Sun, HOT ! 4pm
I woke up at 5 plus am today with really bad tummyache. At first, I thought it was just a normal tummyache and went to the toilet but nothing happen. I tried to sleep but the pain was too much. Then I realise It's not my tummy but my womb! I forgot my whole antomy has changed ( was really sleepy). Now the lower tummy area is replaced by my womb. I realise I had cramps then comes and go frequently also which I think is contractions. It really painful. I woke Shawn up and he suggest I admit into ER. I decided to wait to see if it will stop on its own. But at 8am, I decided to go to KK since they are speclist and it's cheaper than re-calling my Doctor. Shawn called his boss to take urgent leave. His manager approve, but he's not happy about it. Sighz.
Waited about half an hour at KK. The doctor checked. The cervic is still close, Nigel is Okay. I didn't get to see Nigel since the doctor turn the whole screen to herself but Shawn managed to see him. Doctor suggest I stay at hospital for observation. I can either choose to stay at KK or at NUH. Nuh will be better since A/P Mary is there. So went to NUH. Another Doctor checked me. She called A/P Mary. I had my 12th injection. A/P Mary says I can go home but if I'm in pain, I can stay in. The pain has went down and there is nothing much they can do at this point except to wait and see what happens so I decided to go home but have to return if get worst or have bleeding or fluid leakage. The clinic will call me again tomorrow. Got a 7 day mc but have to strictly stay in bed. So far now I'm okay but the cramps is still there but not so painful just uncomfortable. But my pain tolerance level is pretty high so have to be careful.
Poor little Nigel was awake thru the whole thing since 6am. He kept kicking and punching me to reassure me he's alright. He was awake till about 1pm then he finally slept. He's a really good boy. He face Shawn today during the ultrasound. Nigel has Shawn's face shape, big ears and might have deep eyes like my mum. Sounds like a really handsome boy!

Little Nigel's Kicks
19 Dec Friday Nice and windy
I was on mc again yesterday. Down with flu. The skin of my nose is peeling off. I went back to work today. I still have pains but not as bad as the one on Tues. It's really hard to work when you are pregnant.
Back to little Nigel, the pain was also due to Little Nigel shifting. I realise after taking a nap on Tues. I felt my tummy was different. It's sharper, bigger and more oval. Shawn realise it the min he looked at my tummy.
Now Nigel's little head is on top. So the kicking are all at the bottom. I can feel him moving even more now. He mostly kicks during early noon, evenings and midnight. He love to kick me more than 3 times in a row. He also punch me a lot too. It's not painful yet, just feel funny. I love it! But when he stretch then it's painful. I'm also starting to get more breathless now. I eat a lot, I ate a foot long subway today and 2 small pack of chips during my breaktime today!

Pain Pain, Go Away .....
16th Dec Tues. Nice and Cloudy
Sighz.. Just got home from work. On MC again cos tummy pain AgAin. It's really painful. I wanted to just sit and cry. Poor Nigel knows I'm in pain and keep moving today. Went to a GP cos all the gynac only open at 6pm today. The GP says the pain is from my womb. She told me to place a hot towel over at my tummy adn gave me some painkillers. Wonder when will it all end! Ting is also at home cos of chest pains. Poor US !

11 Dec Thrus Rainy..
I went to the Doctor today with Shawn due to my cramps. I had cramps again yesterday and it's pretty painful. A/P Mary Rauff assure me that I'm okay but she ask me to be careful and rest well. If the cramps start to get more frequent, I'm to see her immediately.
Today, A/P Mary tried to scan to see if BB is a boy or girl. At first, it's seems pretty hard cos BB was notti and show us backside view again. But she tried again and BB was more co-operative after some coaxing. And BB's a boy ! It's pretty obvious, I saw the ****** even before A/P Mary point it out to me. Whether boy or girl to me and Shawn doesn't matter as long as BB is healthy. The happiest person will be my father in law with his traditional Chinese thinking. Shawn seem really happy. He's been smiling to himself whole day. Most people I met guess BB is a boy due to the sharp of my tummy which's pretty sharp, only my friend Mary thinks BB is a girl. One reason is cos the 2 of us really like to have girls cos can doll them up.. hehe..
Me and Shawn went to parkway to browse for some baby clothes. The boys clothes are really boring. But I saw some pretty cute ones that I'm thinking of getting for his full moon party.
We have already decided on the Christan name pretty long ago. For Chinese, will be up to BB's granddad. If BB was a girl, it will be Hedi Yang since my fave Chloe is taken by Mathew's daughter.. Sobs. Boy will be Nigel or Rainer or Mattheus, as agreed by me and shawn. For me, I prefer, Enzo or Jaden which Shawn didn't like. We like Nigel and Mattheus equally, Nigel is simple, easy to remember while Mattheus is very unique. So thinking of Nigel Mattheus Yang, double names. Any Suggestions from anyone???

Havings sharp pains again! Can't sleep ! Sobs... Just sms my Manager to let her know that I'm not going for the shop meeting at 845am. Sighz..
I did a postnatal Depression test at the clinic. I'm under depression. Score for depression is 13 and I score 14. The nurse ask if I need to speak to anyone. But I told her no need since I think the depression come from worrying about the baby, the pains, the cramps and work. So no point la. Unless I can quit my job and all the funny pains and cramps stop, I will still be depressed... Sighz.

Depression...
09 Dec Tues Nice and windy..
I have been feeling really depress since I started work on Sun. I actually just sit and cry when I'm home a few times liao. I have to control myself at work or I will really start crying. BB is also very quiet. Not moving so much, so I'm pretty worried as well.
I'm also having sharp pains here and there. Been standing and doing sales pretty much. I tried to sit as much as possible but it's really uncomfortable since I have to get off and on the chair pretty often. This morning I had cramps near the bottom of my tummy when I suddenly woke up at 7am. Shawn wanted to bring me to the Doctor but I decided to sleep for another 2 hours and see how lor. Luckily the cramp was gone when I woke up. Also, I didn't take anymore injections cos the Doctor's letter to Raffles medical centre only stated on the 1st and 4th. Suppose to call the hospital today to ask but I totally forgot.
On the little sunny side of things, my sis, Pam got me a belated birthday present. A Shiro MP4 player with speaker for BB to listen to. I went to Carrfour to get a Fan. Shawn decided to get a good one this time as our cheap fans keep breaking down. So gotten a KDK one that is good for people with allergy like me. Which I will use first, then when BB is born I would have to let BB have it...

Injection No 11..
04 Dec Thrus Raining Meow Meow and Woof Woof..
Injection again today. No 11. Sighz. Wonder how many more to go? My Butt is getting really holey. More or less use to the pain but I still get freak out while waiting for the jab. Imagine the nurse cleaning your butt with a nice cooling cotton swab, and deep in your heart, you know what's next.. the JAB! The anticipation of waiting for the jab between that is really horrible.
On the nice note, BB is pretty active today. After BB's Daddy tell him to kick Mummy, BB, as usual, listen to Daddy and keep kicking mummy today. I'm not complaining about BB's kicking, more about why BB listen to Daddy and not mummy. Sighz. Ting says maybe BB is a girl, cos Daddy's girl and mummy's boy ma. Ting's little prince listen to her more than Kun. Plus my water retention, girls tend to have more water retention than boys. I have problems removing my wedding ring with all the water retention. And my left little toe is swollen. Girl or Boy I have to wait till 17/12. A long time to wait!!

Injection Number 10
01 Dec Rain.. Rain
I went to Raffles women clinic @ compass point with Shawn to get my 10th Injection. It cost $45 for the injection. Not as bad as i thought. The nurse there is even better. A lot less painful. The nurse actually massage the area before she inject and it was pretty fast too. It's a lot less painful after that. I can walk without limping. Also better than driving all the way to NUH plus Shawn can't have the same off day with me all the time. Will be going for my 11th injection on Thurs.
BB love to hear his Daddy's voice. BB will start kicking when Daddy start talking. Sometimes Daddy call mummy when he's at work, BB will start to kick and get excited. When Daddy put his face on Mummy's tummy, BB will start kicking Daddy. So Cute! BB got odd cravings. 1st 3 months, BB love apples and I eat apples all the times till the day I started to puke when I eat apples. Now it's mango, especially mango puddings! Been having cravings all the time now. But I think BB is pretty sick of mango now. BB got bad habit of making me eat the same stuff all the time and nothing else till BB is totally sick of it. Sighz. Wonder what's next... Durians?
BB is also going to have a cousin of the same age! My cousin Rouyi is 12 weeks pregnant, due in June. Just one month apart. So CoOoOl! It's really fun to have cousins of the same age. My twin sis, Nicole and brother, Nicholas have 2 cousins of the same age, Debbie and Dee. They are pretty close and always go outing together when they were young. It's fun to grow up together. Especially now family size is pretty small not like the old times. Only 1 or 2 kids instead of 4 or more. Another of my cousin from my mum side, Kelvin is having his daughter in Jan 09. So she will be rat instead of cow. Rat girls are smart. His family is staying in Sengkang too.
Shawn's buddy, Mark came back from Australia. He will be going to China on Thrus to visit his GF's family and will be back for christmas. Shawn bought a Wii from him cos the set he got is not for use in Australia. I got Wii to play liao. Shawn got for me Raving rabbits 1. Some games are really hard to play!!
