Surprisingly, after 2 days only, Nigel love taking the school bus but hates School still. But after 1 week, he can't wait to change into his uniform and hop onto the school bus! He keep harassing Grandma to change him into his school uniform and to go downstairs to wait for the school bus !! Nigel is a really good boy. Mummy is so proud of you!

Looking for a suitable school for Nigel is one of my biggest headache. I wan a school that is

Non-aircon or partial as Nigel has sensitive nose.

Most of the schools around Sengkang is fully aircon, either half day or full day and really small. The few that really mets my criteria is really costly. Finally after much online searching, I found Dayspring at the parenthood forum. www.dayspring.edu.sg/ . It is located at Punggol 24th ave. It is near the seaside!! Within walking distance. The school is really big too with it's own playground. Downside is the distance but luckily there is school buses. The price wise, it is really afforable too. I went down to the school twice to take a look. Second time was with Nigel. Nigel love the area, is comfortable with the teachers so I sign him up. School starts on 06/01/2012, class start at 12.15 and ends at 215. He is in Class Rose3.

First day of day, we decided to bring Nigel there on our own instead of the school bus to get him settled in first. Nigel was pretty okay during assembly till one boy started screaming and crying. It was then Nigel realized that I am not around and started to cry. His teacher had to carry him before he stops. Overall, he was okay till he saw me peeing at the window and started all over again. I was dragged out of the school by Shawn. Sobs.. Teacher says Nigel is alright but cries when they had to change classrooms. School bus Auntie was there too. Nigel likes her pretty much. So I decided to start him on the school bus on Monday. I hope he survives the ride there !! My mum will bring him up to the bus since he will definitely cry his lungs out if he sees me.. hope he gets settled in really soon and makes some great friends there.

Nigel loves Kiddy Rides at shopping malls but best of all, he love the Mentos machine! You put in a $1 coin and try your luck to see how many Mentos you will get. Nigel just love to see the Mentos being scooped up but he doesn't eat the Mentos at all. I always allow one Kiddy ride for Nigel per time, when he is really good, I will let him try the Mentos machine. He always accept my excuse, " Mummy has no coins" as a reason for not letting him play with the Mentos machine. But today ... I got outsmarted! He wanted to try the Mentos machine so I gave the same excuse. So later on, he wanted to ride the Mickey mouse Kiddy ride. I took out the $1 coin and immediately he said " Don't want car!". He got off the car, ran to the Mentos machine and ask for the coin !! And I can't tell him I have no coins !! ARGH !!!!!!

October ... Season of Changes

It's been a really long time since I have updated the blog. It is a really crazy 2 months. Our Sengkang home has been sold. Good Bye my Dearest Home. I have lots of memories here. Now we are all staying at my in-laws place. Currently, we just gotten a new house (not home yet) within 1km of Nigel's future school, Tao Nan Primary and rented it out in the meantime. As KS parents, we just want to make sure Nigel gets into a good primary school. Even though Shawn is an old boy but that school is really popular.

Nigel is now having home tuition with Ms Jo-Ann for around 2 months now too. He was a good student at first but now... Haiz...

Everytime he is asked to do writing .... He will say "I am so tired" ..... Today, he has started to pretend to cough !!! I think I will have loads of problems in school. So far, he has learnt to write, his art skills has improve and he has started to talk more.

Recently, he has learnt football from his grandpa which is my dad !

Also had an outing with Nigel's god brother, Andrew to celebrate Andrew's Second Birthday !!

This Father's Day, we celebrate the men who willingly and courageously practice active fathering.

While many Singaporean families still honour the traditional roles of mum as the main caregiver and dad as the main breadwinner, we see more dads taking an active role in parenting and caring for their kids. They may have heavy work responsibilities during the day, but once they are home, these dads roll up their sleeves and jump right on to the parenting bandwagon willingly.

Like these families, my husband and I practice shared parenting. If I have work to do, he’s in charge of the kids. If he has to travel, I take time off work to be at home. I’m the disciplinarian in my family, while he takes his role as mediator and jester very seriously. But sometimes, our parenting methods differ.

Take last night as an example. I wanted to finish work so I could celebrate Father’s Day this weekend, so I asked him to put the kids to bed. They usually read in bed before lights are turned off, so I was expecting some peace and quiet. But within minutes, there was a ruckus of tambourine bells, peals of laughter and loud singing coming from the room.

“What was going on?” I fumed, more mad at my husband than the kids. He’s supposed to wind themdown, not UP.

I opened the door, all ready to yell, but was stopped short as my two munchkins rushed towards me and words tumbling out of their mouths, gleefully invited me to join them. They had (with daddy’s help) created a new song and couldn’t wait to present it to me.

My kids exhibited such sheer delight as I watched the trio (father and children) belt out the silliest song about chicken rice being their favourite food; their gusto and laughter were infectious. It may be bedtime, but the kids were having fun with dad. My earlier grudges were replaced with gratefulness that their father could create special moments like these for the kids in spite of his busy and sometimes stressful work schedule.

Joanna Tan says: My hubby Shawn & our 25 months old Boy. Shawn is more like his friend than father. He will go down to Nigel’s level and interact with him. For example, he will play “basketball” with him. He is also the soul of Nigel’s Fave toy, Mr Monkey. So the 2 of them are Best Buddies! Always the one Nigel runs to when I scold him. Shawn will make sure he will spare time for Nigel almost everyday to have at least 1/2 hour playtime to Bond. He is the one in charge of his night feeds till now still, as Nigel still needs night feeds.

Grace Miranda says: My husband is, maybe for me, an ideal dad to my kids. My niece told me more than 18 yrs ago that when she gets married, she will look for a guy like my husband or maybe he will grab him from me. Now my daughter is saying the same thing, she will find a man who is like his dad, who can carry himself well physically, emotionally and spiritually. She said when I get angry with her she gets upset at times, BUT when dad gets disappointed she just feel like “super-guilty”. Because he will talk to her in a very soft-manner and will not tell her that she is bad or what, but will talk to her in a very positive way. He is always there for them and mostly they can see that their dad loves their mom.

Joann Hernandez says: My husband is a very patient and loving dad. He takes care of my gals when he isn’t working. Before we all go to bed he will send my kids to brush their teeth and change to pyjamas. Even in the middle of the night he will bring them to the toilet when the kids need to pee. But the most touching of all is when the kids are sick, he is the one who wakes up at night to feed their medicine.

Airport Terminal 3 is Nigel's Fave playground! Loads of space to run around and carpeted floors to roll around too ! Plus it's air-conditioned ! Recently there is a new kids theme center there called Singkids. Shawn and I brought him there today to play ! But we realize Nigel is not as adventitious or as excited as the rest of the kids. As most of his teachers & the Prof from NUS commented before, Nigel sees patterns and relationships really quickly and he tend to be over-cautious and think a lot on how things work.

Nigel is almost 2 weeks into his terrible Twos. The pace at which he is developing is at a surprising rate! He learnt new words really quickly now. He has started to point out objects and name them. He has become surprisingly sociable. Recently, we brought him to the airport. There was a 4 years old Lil Girl, he shook her hand and they started playing together !! Since then, he has been playing with other kids and he will start by shaking their hands. He has a preference for older girls... Like his dad ?? Hmmzz...

Nigel at Dr Teoh... In His Cranky Self...

A very Busy Day today. Started the rainy morning with a vist to Dr Teoh for Nigel's scheduled 2 years old check up and another dreaded injection, his flu jab. As usual, Nigel went into his "Shell" the moment we entered into Mt Elizabeth. We had a hard time trying to measure his height and weight as usual. He just refuses to cooperate at all, just want to bear hug me all the way. Best estimate, Height: 88cm, Weight: 11.8kg. Dr Teoh commented that his growth is good, above average.

So Far, Nigel's been making tremendous improvement. He has learnt to speak in short sentences. He can argue with us now. His fave word, thanks to Daddy Yang "NO NO NO NO!". He has become a lot more sociable now. Like today at the airport, he was attempting to play with a group of kids! That's so unlike him.

Nigel is Officially in his Terrible Twos !!! We had a quiet celebration with my parents, Shawn's parents and some friends, Clifton and Leo on the 7th May. On 8th May, which is his actual birthday, Shawn and I had initially wanted to bring Nigel to his fave Playground aka Airport but Shawn injured both his knees while playing basketball. So we spend the whole day at home. But for Nigel, as long as he can spend the day with us, he is happy. Definitely will have a party for him when he is 3!

Dearest Nigel,

Today, you turn 2. 8th May 2011 is a day to remember. It is also Mummy's Day and most importantly, Singapore's General Election. I wonder what will GE be like when it is time for you to vote? Now, PAP rules the government but not without good reason. PAP been there since the founding of Singapore. They have gathered our forefathers and work towards to build Singapore up to what She is now. Strong economy, low crime rate, housing for everyone, education for everyone and water. All these are not easy to accomplish without a dedicated leader who pushes forward despite everything. Those days are hard times which I hope you will never have to go through. Dearest Son, I hope you will understand and appreciate the hard work and dedication of your forefathers. But now times have changed, it is time for Singapore to work towards building a nation for her people instead, since that most of our immediate issues are made. I hope by your time Singapore will have achieved it. In the meantime, I will educate you to my every best with my limited knowledge.

Penny for my Thoughts .... Family Time Vs Work Time

Something went through my mind today regarding our society's family versus work life. I have realized that as working mothers, we spent at least 8 days per day at work. By the time we reach home, we get to spent only at most 2 to 3 hours with our kids before they sleep... If there is overtime, then sometimes, we don't even get to spend any time at all with our kids. Our kids properly know their caretakers more than their mums. And we mums properly understand our colleagues more than our kids.

My mum made a comment 2 days ago that I am not a very good mother. I can't cook stuff that Nigel likes to eat. My mum prepare all his food. I don't really understand some of his gestures like my mum does. I am studying at NIE now, so it's a 4 hours trip for me to go to NIE and by the time I am home will be around 7, Nigel's bedtime is at 9. So effectively, by the time I take a bathe, taken my dinner, I spent around one and a half hours with Nigel only. It is really scary how little time I spend with Nigel. Family time is even less. Shawn mostly has appointment at night, like today... 1014pm and he is still not home yet. He only spend 5 minutes with Nigel and off he goes to work. Even weekends he have to work! Like on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. I had to make a prior appointment with him on Sat as Family Day! But what to do, his job requires him to do all this stuff plus his boss... well... Haiz ... Not everyone understands the value of Family Time.

Most families in Singapore are like mine. Most of the time, both parents are working and kids have to be taken care either by grandparents if they are lucky otherwise will be maids, babysitters or childcare centers. In the past, mothers mostly are housewives while husbands are sole breadwinners. But due to huge increase in everything else except our salary, both parents have to work now, unless the other half is earning a lot. So kids nowadays are pretty spoilt. It 's a sad reality. Our future generations will be very different from our time. For in instance, in a mrt or bus, it is the 40plus year old people that actually give up their seats and not the students !! Most of the students now are not taught moral values, they are just focused on studies. Parents do not have time to impart values to their kids as kids spent a lot more time with caretakers who are just there to make sure they are fed, they do their homework and that's all.

Though I know Nigel will be well taken care of under my mum's strict guidance but I feel as a mother, I should spend more time with him. He doesn't even want to address me as mummy, honestly I don't think he feel that I am his mum. So I took the plunge, suffer a 1k paycut and change my job. Now due to studies, I am really busy but once everything is settled, things will be better as least my job will be more flexible and I can bring my work home to do. And today, Nigel look at me and call me "Mummy" !!!! Definitely worth it !!

Before Nigel was born, Shawn & Moi have decided on Goats' milk. Why?? For many reasons, it's proteins is closer to humans therefore easier to absorb, less digestion problems. Less artificial ingredients, nowadays cows' milk has lots of weird stuff added in to supposedly boast immunity & brain power which I don't really believe in. Made in New Zealand not China! I need not elaborate on that. Plus Nigel does not take well to cows' milk.
But cost wise is a lot higher. $25 for 400g, for stage 1 & 2.. But thanks to my buddy, Meiying, she found a shop at Rivervale plaza which sells one tin @ $20! We fed him stage 1 till he's 1 years old as per advice by Dr Teoh. Then stage 2 till 18 mths. Now he's on stage 3 luckily stage 3 is available in bigger tins $48 outside, at Plaza is @ $38.
Benefits of feeding him goats' milk is pretty obvious. He is very healthy, seldom fall sick. He recovers from cuts & bruises faster. His body's density is lot higher.

22 Months

Lil Nigel is now 22 months old. In just another 2 months and he will be 2 years old !! Day by Day, you can see how much he has learnt and understand. His growth is really rapid right now! Everyday, he seem to learn a new word. But whether he wants to say it out, well.. it depends on his mood.

Nigel's inclination seems to be more towards music and sounds. He can listen to tunes around 2 times and he can hum the tune out. He listens to noises and sounds around him and will try to imitate the sound on his own, like bells, horns and car engines. Thus he prefers singing to talking. He is pretty animated. He will sing or hum the tune with actions and expressions. He can sing ABC song pretty clearly. He love "wheels on the bus", "twinkle twinkle lil star". He is learning "heads & shoulders". But he doesn't wan to sing to just anyone. So only immediate family can hear him singing. Haiz. He is still shy but he has improve a lot. Shawn and I can finally have meals outside, just the 3 of us without much fuss. He can even sit on normal chairs and will not attempt to go off on his own (some places do not have Baby chairs). He is fine with adults but still doesn't want to play with just anyone, only a selected few. But it's still No No No to Kids and Babies. Sad thing is, He still calls me "A" ... Sobs.

He is going to Gymnademics now. They are having a promotion @ $388 for unlimited lessons in March. Just right, I will be having my 1 week March holidays. So far he has attended 2 lessons. It is not as good as what I had expected but it is something different for him. There is pitching tuning, at least I can learn how to teach him music. There is Gym lessons, he is learning monkey bars, beam walking, etc. Also of cos is Flash cards. I am glad he still remembers his flash cards. I guess he love the classes as he comes home and was trying to roll around the house! And humming to " Heads & Shoulders".

Happy Chinese New Year Everyone !

It's the Lunar New Year, Year of the Rabbits. This is Nigel's Second Chinese New Year. A pretty quiet one as we didn't go around visiting due to the rainy weather, my sprain ankle and Nigel's cough. So Nigel's earning is considerably less this year...

Eve of the Eve of CNY, we had a gathering at Shawn's side. We couldn't have dinner on the Eve as per traditional as Shawn's Dad has to work. On the whole, Nigel's behaviour was excellent !! He's mature a lot suddenly and is able to sit still for a pretty long period at the dining table. Due to my mum's strict bringing up, he doesn't play with utensils at all. He was smiling and playing with everyone !

On the Eve of CNY, We had a gathering at my Eldest Uncle's Place. We had a BBQ but had to end early due to the Rain !!

It's been the 3th week of my New Job as Allied Educator in MOE. I am on atttachement now till March before I go for my 3 months Diploma Course. I am really lucky enough to be posted to a school just 5 mins away from my home. Offical work time start at 725am to 210pm but there is meetings every Tuesday till 530pm, on Fridays there is Girls' Guide till 630pm. Plus if there is markings or worksheets to do, I can either stay back or bring home. So I do have time for Nigel now unlike my previous Job. Shawn doesn't need to come home to an empty house anymore.
Down part now... Nigel had to stay over at my mum's. I feel really lost at work as it's totally something new. I had to teach Chemistry which is my weakest science subject. I had not touch chemistry for more than 10 years !!! I had to read up on Sec 2 to Sec 4 science !! Now I am at home struggling with my worksheets for Sec 3. I had no experience or training at all ...
But at least I have more time for family now. (",)

Lil Nigel is 20 Months Old !

Nigel is 20 mths on 08.1.2011. He is starting to babble a lot. Sometimes you can catch some words. He does answer back when you ask him questions sometimes. But you can't make him talk unless he wants to. He refer to me as "Aaaa" cos I always use that expression, my Dad as "hump" which I have no idea why, my youngest sister is lucky enough to be called "YiYi", Shawn as "PaPa", my mum as "Ah Ma". He prefers to sing than talk. He is very good at imitating sounds especially of car engine !!
We celebrated his 20 months at airport on 09.1.2011. There is finally a viewing gallery at T1 !!

The Big 3 !! I am 30 years old on 31/10/2010. Lots of things happen in Oct, which is usually my Fave month but now, it's a month I rather not remember.. Anyhow things manage to work out in a way but not totally resolved.. I still manage to have a wonderful birthday.

My Dearest and I went to JB for a short trip on the 29th. Just to rest and chit chat. Stayed overnight at Pan Pacific. A wonderful trip on a whole. On the 30th, He gave me a huge surprise ! Normally he doesn't surprise me with anything at all...

It's been a really long time since I have updated the blog. Overwhelmed with Nigel, work and family.

October normally to me is the best month of the year cos it's my birthday month! But this year, October is positivity the worst month for me. Whatever it is, I have to stay strong for Nigel's sake. But sometimes I do envy those that can go on a frenzy and not care about what people think. But I'm too sane to do that. I wish I am not so strong minded. I wish I could take a chair and hurl it towards the wall. I wish I can scream out loud. I wish I can take a walk in the rain. I wish I can have the courage to quit my job now not caring about anything else....

Most of us were down with flu. Nigel was a little sick since last thrusday but wasn't anything to worry. Just running nose and phlegm. Given his track record, we all took it for granted that Nigel will recover without any big issue. But just in case, we bought him in to Dr Teoh to get some medicine for him. The clever lil boy as usual recognise the place the moment I stand into the lift. He was ok but pulled a long face. All hell broke loose when he see the Dr. I had to turn him to face the window. The Dr. was trying to slowly creep up behind him to listen to his lungs but Nigel knew something was wrong and turn behind and cried when he see the Dr. Dr Teoh couldn't help luffing. He commented that Nigel is a very smart boy. Back to topic. Nigel was down with slight fever yesterday, 37 Degree Celsius. In the evening, Nicole sms me and told me Nigel down with high fever, 38 Degree Celsius. Luckily Dr Teoh always made me keep stocks of medicine. I had a really rough night yesterday with Nigel. Poor boy was in pain. He kept crying. In the end, I held him and cried too.. Heart pain. Sobs. The fever went up and down today. But he's playing and smiling but tired. I had to leave him at my mum's overnight as tomolo I have shop meeting at 9am.. working till 1130pm most likely with the Darn IPhone4. Thrusday, start work at 1030 till late again cos of shop outing.. Going to Diez soonz... I wan to quit !! I mean my job...

But one good thing happen today, Nigel maybe cos of his fever.. started to say out the different colours when playing with my IPhone4.

Lil Nigel is 15 mths old now. He's 80cm and only 9.3kg. He knows walk now but too scared to try. He love to do Push-ups aka Butt up with Grandpa Clayton. He has a big vocabulary of words, "flowers" "duck" "bear" "car" "cold" "Apple (all time fave)" "Bubbles" "bird" "ball" "Daddy/ PaPa" and many more. It's amusing how fast he learn ! He love to scribble on his Doddle. He's actually left-handed but he will also use his right hand. His fave carton is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse which I have upload a few to my IPhone4. He love to hum tunes still and he catch tunes really fast ! He's trying to sing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song. And of cos he Love my new IPhone4. And still love to swim !!

It's been a Uber Long time since I have updated my Blog. Nigel's been more than a handful these days so I have no TIME !! Finally I manage to end off work early today despite the IPhone4 craze. Thanks to National Day!! Everyone is at home !!!

First thing on the list is Shawn's 29th Birthday on the 4.7 !! We had a nice family lunch at Seafood resturant at East Coast with my family. Tong and Nigel love the place ! We were luckily enough to get a table right next to a big glass wall facing the Pond. So the Kids have a fun time looking at fishes and entertaining themselves. Followed by a quiet dinner at home with Shawn's parents. Manage to get a few shoots of Family pictures with Nigel finally !!

I have gotten an iPhone few months back in March. Not for myself to use but for Lil Nigel actually. There is lots of Apps available for Him to use. I downloaded 3 pages of Apps just for him ! Lots of free ones and Paid ones. My fave and his have is Kids Machine and Baby Piano. After 2 months of using it, Lil Nigel has figured out how to use it all by himself ! He knows how to unlock the phone, go the correct page and choose the App he wants to play !! After he's tired of it, he will just exit and choose a new one !! And of cos throwing the phone away after playing ! Luckily I have gotten an anti-shock protector for his iPhone...

It seems like after Nigel has turn 1, something in his Lil Brain woke up. He seems somewhat different to me ..
1. He's more active and vocal suddenly. He's very vocal and active before. But now, he talks more. He's active in a different way .. Really hard to explain but he seems to developed an understanding of how certain things function. For example, he will actually put things back after he has played with them. He learn butter-trade. The other day, he hand me one of his fave toy. After I took it, he point to my IPhone !! Another time, last friday, he was holding on to my keys and refuse to return them to me. I gave him my IPhone for my keys !
2. He learn to put himself to sleep !! No One taught him how to !! He just refuse to let me rock him and want to lay on the bed. He toss and turn around a few times and he slept ! Happen a couple of times already.
3. He will actually hold the bottle and feed himself. He already know how to do it but was too lazy to.. Hahaha .. But these few days, he's been doing it all on his own and acutally drank more !
4. He's on training cup now and he love it ! He will hold it, push open the cover and drink ! And after that, he will put it back and the table. And he will clap his hands cos he knows he has done something well !! So Cute ! But I think he love to bite the straw actually ...

And the list goes on.. It's really odd that so many things happen in just a week from his Birthday. He has learnt to crawl too and loving it now. He's everywhere now ! Can't imagine when he walks. He will be a terror definitely. He's learning to walk now. But it seems more like Cat-Walk! He's getting better everyday, thanks to my Dad and Mum. They have patiently taught him the act of crawling ! SighS.. Nigel is growing up so fast.. Too fast. Most of the time I'm at work to be there to watch him grow up. But at least he's in capable, loving hands. Hopfully in near future, if everything turn out ok, I will be SAHM ! Definitely lots of plans for Nigel, music lessons (will be teaching piano on my own), brain development classes (hopfully can sign him up for GUG but time is hard to arrange now) and of cos flash cards... Sounds like a lot of stress for Nigel but trust me, Nigel love it ! He love to learn (more like play).

Nigel is Big 1 !! Still cannot believe my Lil Baby is now a Toddler. He finally can crawl, all thanks to my Dad who patiently taught him. But he still prefers to walk but obviously he can't. Crawling is his last resort. I have recently discovered that Lil Nigel loves music. He can hum Twinkle Twinkle Lil Star !! And my Dear Buddy Ting have gotten him a lovely wooden piano as an early birthday present which he totally enjoys playing. I will get more of the lovely Pressies he has received in a later Blog ( still in process of taking photos and uploading...). He can say :Papa, Mama, Carry (in chinese), Take (also in chinese) and loads of gibberish.

On the Big Day, after lunchie, we had a little ritual First Birthday Ritual. We had him choose from a variety of items. The first he pick was suppose to be what he will be. We had red eggs- Cook, Piano-Music, Calculator- banking/accounts, abacus- money and ruler-engineer ( i think). First we arrange the stuff in neat line which was a bad idea cos Nigel will just crawl to the stuff nearest to him. So on the third attempt, we just jumble the stuff together and same as the first time, he choose Ruler !! WHY ??? Hmmzz ....

Poor Nigel is Down Down Down with Fever. I suspect he was sick on Sat already. He was crying for my mum in the middle of the Night so I had to carry him over. He fell asleep really fast the moment my mum carried him. Next morning, Shawn and I pop over my Mum's to see him before We leave for work but the Lil Guy was still sleeping which was odd but we thought he was just tired. Later on I receive a call that he had fever. I was really worried but No PD was open unless I want to bring him to KKH. But I dun really trust the Doctors there plus with all the sick patients there. So decided to wait till Monday to bring him down. Luckily my manager changed my Off for me to Monday. Shawn and I brought him to Dr Teoh at 10am yesterday. His fever was gone. Everything was ok. The moment we got home, my Dad realise tat his Fever has came back. It kept creeping higher and higher. At 1130pm, it was at 39.2 ! Poor Boy.. Shawn and I couldn't really sleep the whole night. Luckily Morning at 9am, his fever drop to 37.6 but can feel he's starting to heat up again. Dr Teoh told us to bring him in immediately if his fever went up again or if he start to vomit.. Now at 3pm, he seems fine. **cross my fingers**

Flash Cards and A Road Trip to KL

I went to a talk in KL on the 223/3 with Shawn, my Sis and Her Hubby. It's a talk by Glenn Doman's son on Childhood education. It's the first time in a long long time that I actually went overseas ! Pretty excited. It was a fruitful trip overall. Really learn quite a lot about swimming, exercising and educating my Boy.

I have been teaching Nigel with DIY Flash Cards for 2 months now. Using a bit of Nero Tree Method with Glenn Doman Way. His progress is pretty amazing. He can really tell which is which just after one try. But how much does he understand ?
So I came up with a plan. I made some small portable flash cards. I showed it to Nigel first, then the physical object. He love snacks. So I decided to start with that first. Apparently he understands. I put a few cards on the floor and ask him what he wants. He choose snacks and kept choosing it !! After a while, He choose Pacifiers and Dou Dou !! And he went to sleep ! Wow !! The next day, he choose snack again and Papa. So Papa gave Nigel some snacks to eat! This will really help a lot in terms of communication. Slowly I will teach him more. I will add in Water, Milk, NTUC, Grandma and Grandpa. More Day to Day items for this portable flash cards.

Nigel is 10 month old. Time really flies. In another 2 months he will be BiG 1 ! I'm planning his birthday party already. Will be on 08 May at my Little Uncle's place.

He still only has one tooth.. Really wonder when the rest is coming. It's been more than a month since !! He refusing to crawl still. TOo lazy. He just points or wails and the stuff will fly to him !! But now he's trying to move with his butt.. Butt Walk. Hmmz.. He love making Faces, the most infamous is the Chicken Backside Face ( Grandma Monica name it).

He been going to Little Neuro Tree for lessons everyday Friday. So far so good. I'm using Flash Cards to teach him too. I have Flash Cards from Baby Einstein and made my own Flash cards using White Paper and red Markers. It's really tiring, imagine drawing and colouring Circles, words and numbers. I have done 1 to 10, expressions, body parts and some common items, more than 70 pcs. I can't imagine when I do 100s. SobS. But when I see Nigel learning and making progress. It's all worthwhile ! He can recongise his own Name! I'm thinking of using it as a tool for him to communicate with us since he can recongise quite a number of words already. But I haven't totally figured out how yet.

In the meantime, Lil Nigel, Grow up strong, healthy and Most Important, Be Happy Always ! Everyone Loves U !

I have started Nigel at Little Neuro Tree at Hougang Branch. Little Neuro Tree Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based early childhood enrichment educator, which specializes in neuro-linguistic brain stimulation and development for children.

Cost: $550 for 12 lessons (weekdays). It's every Friday, from 1030 to 1130. He had his first lesson yesterday. It was in Japanese. There are 5 babies in his class. 3 girls and 2 boys. Oldest is 13 mths and youngest is 8mths. All in all, it went well. Nigel is responsive and attentive. He was dancing and clapping. Only thing is he refuse to return the learning tools after we are done ! And he took the eggs and throw at his teacher !! Hmmzz... There are also a small fight going on with him and the Lil 8 mths old Baby Girl beside him.. I thought he will be exhausted after the lesson as it was his nap time but instead he was even more energetic.

Many people think I am a little mad to bring him to school at 9mths. Actually, I wanted to start even younger but had no time. In fact, I'm already looking around for a playschool for him. Shawn and I have decided to go for Character Montessori.

Cost wise, $652.50/mth after Govt subsidy. He's going to start either Dec or Jan2011. It's really popular so Shawn and I have to book a space in advance for him.

Why so Kiasu? For language and right brain development, it's important to start at a young age as they can absorb faster. Before the age of 6, kids will be mainly using their Right Brain which is creativity, long term memory, language skills, etc. After that, will be left brain. My aim is to build a strong foundation for him so it's easier for him to learn. Also, for Character Montessori, the teachers teach the kids not only their ABCs but patience too. Shawn and I are pretty impressed with the kids there. They actually keep their toys properly, go to the toilet on their own, wash their hands and throw the rubbish away !!! If Nigel can behave like them, definitely worth every penny !!

Nigel is one smart Baby. He learns new things really fast. I just want to maximise his potential. But I don't need him to be a top student in class or get a PHD. Most important things is he enjoys learning. If he's unhappy in the class, I will definitely not force him to go. I just hope that these classes that I'm sending him to (and paying for fortune) will help him to be able to help him cope better in future. Of cos I will not cramp so much classes for him !! I wan him to enjoy his childhood. You are only a kid once. Anyway, the next school I'm looking for will be TaiChi for Kids.... hehehe .... Health is really important too. It's important to start him at a young age and TaiChi will teach him patience and to relax.

Nigel Turn 9 mths a week ago. Busy Busy Me have no time to update my Blog till now. Lil Nigel has learn many new stuff but still doesn't wan to crawl. He can stand for a Lil While on his own. he attempted to walk once. He can call "Papa" and "Mama" but will do it only when he really wants something and only when crying doesn't help. He love drums! He can spend more than half an hour playing with his drums. It's the best thing I have gotten !! He has cut his first tooth on 22 Jan but the second one is still long in coming... He can hold the teething Biscuit and feed himself but most of the time, he wants me to do it !! Lazy baby !! And today, I sign up him up at Lil Nero Tree. He will start his first lesson next Friday. Auntie Pam has kindly volunteered to bring him if I can't make it. All in all, One busy month !!

This is Nigel's first Chinese New Year. Loads of Hongbaos for Lil Nigel ! One Little Rich Baby. I had 5 off days in a row, starting from CNY eve to the 4th day. But I felt more tired than working for 5 full shift straight in a row. Dragging a Baby around visiting is really tiring. Plus Nigel gets fussy. Can't blame him too. I wanted to take more photos but seems impossible cos he's cranky plus I'm always the one carrying him !! He suddenly become really clingy to me. It started 2 weeks ago. He always wan me to carry him. I practically had to hide and keep quiet so I can get some rest. Even Shawn or my Dad tried to carry him away, the moment he sees or hear my voice, he will start to cry for me. In a way, I'm happy but it's tiring. SighS....

Anyway, on the first day back at work, I gotten scream at by a Customer.. And Someone was making a big scene at the shop too and all the printers went mad !! Really had a bad day on the first day at work.. Is it an Omen ?? Hmmzz...

A Penny for my thought: What should I do now ?

Nigel is not around tonight. Bunking over at my Mum's cos I'm sick and also tired. But somehow unable to sleep. Too many thoughts running thru my Brain. Maybe by penning it down, I will be more relax. Quite a few Major stuffs going on at the same time. Lots of uncertainty, Lots of Risk and Lots of Planning to do which is still yet to be done.
One major issue is of Cos Money. My family situation is pretty bad in a way. My Dad just lost his job due to a certain corrupted overseas G*** (which I better not mention, dun wan to get arrested). My second Sis is also jobless. My brother is starting his Uni soon. My mum lost her babysitting job. So only Me and my Youngest Sister is working. Plus the new Biz is going to be up and running. Some of my Spare cash have to be going to the Biz.
Another Issue is Time. It's hard to have a full time job and do so many things at one go. Just this week alone. I had to co-ordinate a few orders while working my my full time job. On Monday, I was bathing Cranky Nigel and at the same time trying to co-ordinate some last min deliveries ! Plus my Full Time job is not smooth sailing. Got 2 fraud case, appointment and order problem. Can't even spend my off days in peace from work. I even had nightmares ! Just yesterday, I had nightmare about my stupid Job !! MioHome, Appointments, bad customers all at one go !! Had a bad headache when I woke up. Luckily, Nigel was smiling at me. So all is Bliss again. So Shawn and I decided that One of Us may have to quit. But Who ?? Not a easy decision. Shawn's Job is getting worst. Lots of Overtime, Loads of work, Pay getting lesser Plus Lots of people resign, and A Horrible Top management who have nothing better to do but come up with crazy policies. But Shawn is still Fine with his Job. For Me, pay is more or less stable. But I hate my Job. From the Business aspect, Shawn is good with getting more sales and brands. For me, I'm better at planning and logistics. So How ? SighS.
It seems like a really bad time to start a new business which none of us has experience in except for Shawn's Sister, Julie. Most of my family being jobless and with Nigel to feed. It seems like a big risk to take now. But it's a golden chance with a big potential to grow. A chance which will allow all of us to be release from our current situation. Too much at stake to give up but also much to loss if fail. Will The Lotus Bloom or Wither? I guess it's really up to all of us involved in this to give it our best shot. I believe in Fate. I guess there is a reason why bad things are happening together. It could be a blessing actually. To push us forward cos we can't look backwards anymore. May the Lotus Bloom....

Nigel is full of tricks and pranks. One of his Latest is pulling table cloth. He got into his Lil head that if there' something on the table that he can't reach, he just have to pull the table cloth towards him !!! You can see it on the video....

Sometimes I really can't imagine what's going thru his lil mind. He really does things that amazes us. Lately he love car rides. So if he sees someone getting out of the car, he wants the Driver to carry him cos he know that person owns the car !! He knows Who he can Bully too ! He always bully my maid and Shawn. He will throw stuff and let the 2 of them pick up for him repeatedly but he knows with my and my parents he can't do that ! He loves making "music" so I have gotten for him a Alphabet Drum and a small Lil Drum. I will play with one and he will play with the other one. He will follow my beat !! And so many other clever Lil tricks he has. He can Gong Xi Gong Xi, Wave goodbye (depends on his mood). Lately he crys when I go to work..SobS....

Teaching Nigel Numbers and Shapes at 1230am !

Lil Nigel has been a really notti boy.. He's been having trouble sleeping. For the 4th night in a row, he's been awake past 12mn. Sometimes he will sleep around 9pm, then suddenly he will wake up crying and screaming. SighS. My Mum says might be due to teething issues. But he's been really hard to handle at night. Always crying and screaming when we try to put him to sleep. Only my dad can do it. Sometimes My Mum or Moi have to hold him and pat him to sleep. In the daytime, he's alright, just that he's really choosy about who's putting him to sleep. He prefers Me or my mum. When my Maid try, he will make a fuss. He even bullies her by throwing his pacifiers out of the sarong !! He's getting really smart. He knows he can bully my maid cos she don't scold him. On the 18th & 19th of Dec is my Grandpa's 3th Year Death Anniversary.... The highlight was the Huge "House", 2 storey tall !! Wow ! Estimated cost I heard was 10k .... Took 5 lorrys to move the house to the burning site at Jalan Kayu. Plus the tentage, food, transport and stuffs like paper money, I think it cost near 100k for the entire event !! As usual, a big turn out as my Grandpa is a very popular guy.

Just Yesterday, a 15 yr old just said to me " Aren't you going to apologise to me?" I was totally shocked. The Mobile Phone she wanted was out of stock and she wan me to apologise to her. Like it's any fault of mine ! Like Mother Like Daughter.. I can tell her mum is also one of a kind. Just for the sake of peace, I apologise on behalf of my company. In my many years of working in the telco industry, it's the first time anyone ask that of me and a young kid !! OMG !! In my line of work, I met with loads of people everyday. I have seen all kinds of characters. But what shock me is our younger Generations. Lots of them are rude, full of themselves and act like they own the whole world. I have met many who scold their parents in front of me, calling them stuipd and stuff.. I even met one mother who beg me to ask her son to get a cheaper phone cos she has no money. It's really terrible. If it's my mum, she would have just slap me on the spot !!! Another incident which I could not forget was these 2 girls, I ask them which are they looking for in a phone since they can't decide what they want. They rudely said "Obviously can call and sms!!!" ..... Another incident which happen recently, Shawn was in a lift with a teenager and his mum, he was scolding his mum all the foul languages and the mum just kept quiet !! My mum would have throw me out of the house !!

Why are our younger generation behaving this way ???
I notice a pattern. Most of the parents are actually pretty old. Older than my mum and dad. So I think they tend to dote and pamper them too much. So the kids tend to climb all over their parents thus do not know what is "Respect".
Singaporeans' way of life is a big problem. Too busy working to tend to their kids, so most of the time their kids are left in the childcare, nanny or grandparents. As caretakers, most of them would not really discipline the kids. They are just focus on the kids physical well-being.
"Weekend Parents". Only spending "quantity" time with their children during the weekends. During this time, there is no time to disciplines their children. Mainly will be spent doing homework, going out shopping and stuff.
Also, too much focus on studies. Everything is about getting top in class, getting As. And plus reward system.." If you get top in class, I will give you this and that" No much time spend on their spiritual development.
And lastly, the new way of teaching kids. "Shouldn't beat them, should just tell them what is wrong and explain to them". I have seem many parents who is using that method. It's a total disaster. I known a few of them myself. I'm definitely not using this method. I do believe in " Sparing the rod and spoil the child".

Looking at the Lil Man is sleeping peacefully like a Lil Angel. I wonder will he grow up to be a menace like those kids. I'm also an "old" parent and I'm too busy working to spend time with the Lil Man. Will I become one of the parents that let him climb all over me ??
I'm trying to learn from my parents. They did a good job of bringing me up. My mum is housewife. So she had the time to discipline my siblings and I. She definitely is a firm believer of the cane !! My dad would come home and spend the time with us every evening. They don't pressure us on our studies. As long as we try our best, it's good enough for my parents. Most important is for them is that we respect our elders and is happy. My parents seldom quarrel too.
Shawn and I agree that we will bring Nigel up the old way.
Definitely discipline him when he's naughty. Of cos we will explain to him why it's wrong but sometimes, they are really too young to understand. Dr Teoh told me on my previous visit :"It's important to show them why it's wrong to do certain things, Just let him touch the hot kettle and he will learn why he should not touch it" Nigel is one inquisitive baby. He want to touch everything and anything. My dad noticed that once you let him touch it, he will be happy and not insist on touching it again.
Focus more on his well being and health too. Swimming and music lessons are my focus now. Studies-wise, no point forcing him to the top and get all As. Most important is that he's happy. Of cos, Job-wise, Shawn finally decided that he need a job change. He's been coming home really late since the launch of Iphone (4.30Am on the first day !! ) and gets only one Off day a week. As for Moi, working towards my Internet biz. So hopefully, Shawn and I will not be one of those weekends parents. Right now, Thanks Guan Yi that my parents are taking care of him now. They definitely will love and discipline the Lil Man. And Lil Man loves them very muchy too !

Motherhood at 7 mths

Nigel is going to be 7 mths old tomorrow. Looking back at the past 7 mths, Motherhood has been really fulfilling experience. It's really hard to imagine Life without the Lil Man. It also scares me to think that the Life and Happiness of a Person is on my hands. What if I make a mistake? What if it's not the right decision? What more can I do ?? All these question keep coming into my mind and definitely will continue on as Nigel grows older, I'm already looking around for a Good Pre-school for him. The Question of which Primary school to sent him to is already in our minds.. Oh My !! So stressful for the Lil Man. Nigel is a really smart kid, I'm just wondering how I'm going to help him to be the Best he can be. Of cos, Health is more important to me than his studies. So I will be sending him to Tai Chi classes and of cos Swimming. Swimming is the best exercise. Helps to work the mind, strengthen the lungs and heart. Especially at such a young age, a little help goes a long way. So I make it a point to let him swim at least once a week. Music lesson is another area I'm looking into. This Guy loves music and has a good sense of beat and rhythm.

Another worry on my mind is Time. With my current job and internet biz to run, time is not enough. But at least I'm leaving Nigel in the best care possible which is with my Mum and Dad. Hopfully in time to come, I will be able to be SAHM running my Internet Biz full time and be able to really enjoy being a Mum.

Lil Shannon (who was Alexis) is the beautiful daughter of my younger sis, Pamela and Hubby Terence. Lil Nigel has a love hate relationship currently with her now !! He's one jealous Lil Boy. Whenever my parents carry Shannon, he will make a really big fuss. But then again, he doesn't get angry when I carry Shannon. But however, he will kiss her (more like lick her) and hug her... I hope they will be great Buddies when they grow up.

Been Feeling extremely tired and moody these days .. PMS ? Maybe.. But PMS I believe juz enhance wat I'm really feeling.. Why am I feeling this way ???

1. Top of the list.. My Job. If my readers don't know, I'm working in Singtel Hello! Shop @ Compass Point. It pays well. The people I'm working with are great and fun. It's just that the working hours are long But of cos, not as long as when I'm in M1 but I'm Old liaoz, hitting 30 next year. Also, some customer these days really Sucks Big Time ! As everyone knows, Singapore has the worst customers. Demand Demand Demand, Wan the world for Free. Like yesterday, an Idiot ask me, "Why Singtel rent me the miotv box but give me the modem. So miotv box spoil, Singtel change new one for me, why can't they rent me the modem instead?" I just tell him straight, If I know, I wouldn't be standing here in front of him. So he shut up after that. Somehow I think instead of promoting better Customer Service, Singapore should promote Better Customers instead! Singaporeans have a really bad reputation out there ! On the good side, I do have really Nice customers most of the time, 70% maybe .. whom I enjoy helping, it becomes enjoyable when I'm helping them with their phone contract and stuff. So I will go the extra mile without them asking me to. And also, People out there, Please expect to wait when you come and get your Mobile Phone or Broadband when you come during weekends and holidays !! So moral of the story is to have Good Service from Us Retail People, You as a Customer need to treat us Retail People Like Humans too !! And If you do not wan to wait for an hour or more, come during off peak hour !!
2. My Online Biz. Me and my hubby have 2 online shops selling Baby products and stuff. It's really tiring juggling normal job, Biz and Nigel. I only have 2 off days per week. On my off days, I'm taking care of Nigel too Plus I'm still tired, been ending off really late these days. I have to upload pictures, update stuff, do up my new products. My hubby do try to help but he's hopeless when it comes to editing and uploading so he juz nag at me to do it, like juz now when I'm writing my blog !! He doesn't look after Nigel during his off days cos he really can't handle him on his own. To give him credit, he goes around meeting people to help with the biz but he also met up with his frens ma ! But My Biz is my only salvation now. So not matter how tired, I do try. Plus I have so many new and interesting stuff on hand now !! But I'm too tired to read up on them.. SobS.. Howz ??
3. Maid. Maid suppose to be helping me, but I get mentally tired. I juz change a new maid. But previous one have issues. She's a pain. Meeting people without letting me know. I have warn her upteem times already. But enough is enough. She also use my Home Line without my knowledge. But all in all, Nigel and my doggies really likes her. The new maid juz came on the 29th. She's really quiet and solemn. From wat I see, she seems to be from a well to do family. She chooses her facial wash like most of us. She is using my fave cup !! My Pink Precious Moments Cup !! And she eats really slowly. And boy ! She has a temper !! She doesn't really wan to play with Nigel it seems..
4. Nigel, The Lil Boy is a handful. He's really moody since Tong's arrival. I think he's having serious jealousy issue !! I wonder how can a Lil 6 mths old Boy knows about jealousy ? But he's one smart Baby. He's also really afraid of being all alone. I can't leave him in his baby cot alone at all. He will scream ! I tried putting toys inside but no use at all !!

Finally !! The Swimming Centre at Punggol Plaza is Open !! I signed up Nigel for 10 lessons.. The Pool is bigger than Hua Xia ! And they have a Uber Giant Tub !! Wow !!! Love the Place. Also manage to replace a portable swimming tub too ! The new one is a lot better. No need to blow up anything ! Jus fill up the water. But there is an option for a cushion top tat can be put separately which I also have gotten..Seems useful..

Today is the Birth Day of Lil Alexis. My Lil Niece. Weight: 2.59kg. Length: Unknown..

Not so smooth delivery for my Sis. She have to undergo emergency c-section under GA due to heavy bleeding. Her placenta was dislodged around 5am. Mad Rush to KKH. Due to insufficient oxygen, Poor Lil Alexis have to be in ICU ward. I didn't get to see her today. Poor Pam also didn't get to see Alexis too... Only her photos taken by Terence. Not much photos taken.. Sadz ...

Poor Buns had more tubes in the morning but luckily she manage to breathe on her own so the breathing tube was taken out. But she still have to be on IV and a tube to her stomach.

Hang in there Lil Buns !! Can't wait for your safe return home !! Hope to see you on Monday !!

Time Flies. You are already 6mths old ! It's been half a year since you have arrived into the big big world. You have bring Joy into my life. Even though it's really tiring juggling with work and all, but everytime I come home and see your cute Lil Sleeping Self, I'm so happy. But there are Nitez when you have to bunk over at my mum's and I have to come home to a empty cot, I feel really sadz.

I'm really Glad that you love Ah Kor and Ah Ma so much. Your Lil Face Lite up when you see them. But Makes me sad when You don't behave the same way when you see me. Maybe it's cos I don't spend a lot of quality time with you. Most of the time you are asleep when I'm home. I can only spend 2 to 4 hours with you before I have to bring you to Ah Ma's place. By the time, I'm home, you are fast asleep. I have only 2 days to spend with you per week but sometimes I have to leave you at Ah Ma's too...What to do, Mummy and Daddy have to run the Internet Biz too. Mummy tried to bring you along but you are so cranky amongst strange place and strange people.

You are a really smart Boy. You learn things really fast. You can sit on your own now, clap your Hands, clap ur Feet, say "up", shake your head when you don't want anything and of cos a Great Swimmer. You love strange sounds and music. You have a talent for music too. You can hum along when I sing. I wonder if I'm competent enough to nurture you to the best of your ability. But I will try.. But I hope I have the time too.... But Ah Ma, Ah Kor and your Aunties are doing a great job. It makes me worry at times cos you are a really smart boy. It will seems doing injustice to you if I send you to a normal playgroup but will cos me a BomB if I send you to a Good school. But I will definitely spend you to a good school even If I have to starve !!

In the morning, We bought Nigel for his 6th month check up. Had his last Hep B jab and his Flu jab too. Nigel is finally 7kg !! And Nigel has a big head, Dr Teoh commented. Dr Teoh also advised us to continue with Stage 1's Goats' milk till Nigel is 1 yrs old as he doesn't need the extra protein since he will be on solids. And of cos, Dr Teoh gave us more samples of the cereals !! Hehe.. Spent: $105

We celebrated Nigel's Ye Ye aka Shawn's dad, 70th Birthday on the 4th of Nov. I gotten him an album with Nigel's photos in it. We went to the a nice teochew restaurant opp the Bedok's blk 85 market. I went there twice before to celebrate my granddad's birthday. Great food ! But Nigel was too cranky as usual so didn't really eat much. But he manage to calm down at the cake cutting. But suddenly started to cry again cos the music was too loud. But still, was a fruitful trip. Finally manage to get a family photo taken !!

I had a quiet buffet lunch with Shawn on the 30/10/2009 at Big Splash. On the 31st Oct 09, had a nice tea at Kim Gray's at vivo with Nigel happily sleeping. Followed by a nice birthday celebration with my family at my Parent's. And on the 1st of Nov, my dad treat me to a nice dinner at Serangoon. All in all, I had a great 3 days of celebration !! Best Birthday ever !!

I juz Drop Nigel on the Floor and he hit his Lil Head !! SobS !!

I was bathing Nigel and was about to walk to switch off the fan when I slip and fall with Nigel and all. I held on really tight to him. But when I landed on the floor on my butt I drop him on the floor. He landed with on the back of his head. Luckily it was only about 6cm distance I think. The brave boy wasn't crying. Just a bit shocked. It was when Shawn woke up and make a big fuss, I think it sort of scared him and he started to cry.. He stopped after some coaxing. I hope he's ok !!

End of a Journey ???? Breast Milk Vs Formula

My Breastfeeding Journey seems to be coming to a close... My Milk Supply has dropped to a mere 10ml per pump.. And I only Pump twice a day. I was hoping to be able to breastfeed my Lil Nigel till he's 1.. SighS.. I never thought my milk supply will drop so much when I start work. I'm trying my best to stimulate my milk production but nothing seems to work. I'm getting Malunggay pills to take from Mums' Fairy. Seems to be really helpful for increasing supply.. Hope it works..

Nigel been on Full Breast milk till he's 4 mths. After that he was on partial. Thanks to my friends Ting and Joo, especially Ting. Nigel manage to be on BM till he's 4 and a half months. Problems started after he start to go on Formula. First was the diarrhoea.. Then he caught a cold recently.. Plus he's been having diarrhoea still on and off. He might have some bad reaction to Formula. So decided to get either get Organic Formula or Goats' Milk to try. Decided to start him on Goats' milk yesterday. Diarrhoea has stopped !!! One Problem solved at least. Breastfeeding really help a lot to fight off illness. I can see the immediate difference just 2 days after he got started in full Formula. He started getting sick. He also start to get fatter and more flabby. Not so tone anymore. Cos Proteins in Formula is harder to digest... Breast milk is still the best source of Food.

I really hope government will help to allow breast feeding mum more break time to express their milk. Like for my case, sometimes I have no time at all.... Mums in Retail Line really suffer a lot.. I NEED A NEW JOB !!

16 Oct 2009... A really Special Day. My Dad's first Birthday Celebration with His Precious Grandson, Lil Nigel. Shawn was not working, so he bought a Nice Mango Cake from Baker's Inn. I rushed Home from work just in time for the cake cutting celebration at almost 1130pm !!! Nigel was really happy at first till the candles was blown out. He started frowning and crying.. It seems that most Babies have this "thing" with cakes and birthdays unless it's their own..

Nicole, Pam and Moi sort of secretly planned a surprise for my Dad. He love bowling but have not played for years. So Next day, we have a nice Birthday Lunch at a Thai Resturant at Kovan followed by a Bowling session. We all had a great time !! I think my Dad have the loveliest time of all ! We should do this more often... And next year.. Alexis will be joining us !!

One of Nigel's weird sleeping habit as discovered by Pam. Nigel like to have someone hold his hands and beat the Dou Dou as if he's beating it. He will slowly fall asleep while doing it. But in the mid time, he will smile and sometimes hum to what I'm singing..

LiL Nigel is 5 Mths Old !! He's one Playful and Cheeky Boy! He can Flip both ways !! He love Making Music with his Beanie Pillows! He Love Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. He can Hi-5 really well too. He Like Playing Peek-A-Poo ! And Of Cos.. Nigel Loves to Swim !!

Nigel will be 5 months old tomorrow. Time really flies. Since last week, he has learnt to flip !! He was too desperate. He really want really badly to grab the little musical bear. SO he did a flip right in front of me and Shawn. I was really shocked !! Also, he's always trying to sit up now. I think soon he will be able to sit without support. He's been missing swimming for 2 weeks already due to his diarrhoea, my swimming tub is spoilt and of cos Hua Xia at Punggol Plaza has closed down. I need a new swimming tub for him !! Any Donations ????

Sad Sad News. It seems my breastfeeding days are coming to an end.. My milk supply drop so much since I started work a month again. I'm trying my best to increase my milk supply by letting him suckle and pumping more often. But doesn't seem to work. So tried taking more fish and rice milk, it went up by 20ml. But I don't harbour much hope. SighS. Regret those days where I complain about my oversupply of milk. Retribution ??

I love breastfeeding on the whole despite the pain and inconvenience of it all. I love the bonding and feeling. Nigel looks so cute when he suckles. Plus of cos the health benefits. I really hate the thought of letting Nigel go on full Formula. The babies on FM seems to be bigger and fatter which I do feel it's unhealthy. But whatever it is, I shall hope for the best. Maybe a miracle will happen.. Looking at my entries for the past week, it seems depressing. Sighs. I should try to focus on something more positive. No choice, for Nigel's sake.. I have to hang on no matter how unhappy, tired, depressed I am with my Job and current situation. Guan Xi bless me !!
